Enroll at Walgrove

Walgrove is part of Local District West and LAUSD Board DIstrict 4, represented by elected official Nick Melvoin. It is a feeder school for Mark Twain Middle School and Venice High School, which also offers STEMM and Foreign Language magnets.

Live in the Neighborhood?

WELCOME TO WALGROVE!!! You are automatically eligible to register to enroll. Just stop by our main office, located at 1630 Walgrove Ave, Los Angeles 90066 during the school year between 9:00am – 3:30pm weekdays to pick up your 2018-19 registration packet. Between June 11 and August 9, the office hours are also 9:00am- 3:30pm.  The main office will be closed from June 26 – July 24.

This collaboration between Walgrove and UCLA enables children of UCLA employees who live outside the attendance area to attend Walgrove.

Any UCLA employee’s child who is selected by UCLA for enrollment into a TIE-IN schools is guaranteed the opportunity to attend through high school graduation so long as the child meets the expectations for academic performance, attendance, and citizenship. Once part of TIE-INS, there is no need to reapply each year to continue.

Tie-in Application Deadlines
Applications are accepted beginning January 15, 2018.
Application deadline is April 1, 2018.

District K-12 Open Enrollment

Parents may apply for lottery-based designated open enrollment seats at specific campuses with available seats beginning in May for K-5.

Early to mid-June, placements will be announced. Parents can accept or decline student placement(s) electronically by logging into their parent account or by calling the school site to accept placement.

Parents can also submit a late Open Enrollment application in person or online starting in early July. WE will contact you directly if/ when a seat becomes available.

District Permits

If you are not within LAUSD boundaries, district permits allow parents from one school district to attend schools in another school district. Applications are available between February 1st – May 31st in our main office and needs to be signed and approved both by your school of residence and Walgrove.

Students with a valid permit to attend Walgrove may continue attendance without needing to re-apply annually.
